Importantly, Rachel spent the majority of her career at a local non-profit psychiatric hospital, helping hundreds of individuals on their recovery journey from psychiatric and substance use issues.
Rachel specializes in working with individuals struggling with substance use and dual diagnosis disorders, including anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. Rachel approaches her clients from a strengths-based perspective and enjoys helping individuals return to a place of feeling fulfilled in their lives. Rachel pulls from several evidence-based modalities and has experience utilizing dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). Taking a systems approach, Rachel partners with patients and families, working collaboratively with them to find meaning and get “unstuck” from negative thought patterns and behaviors.
